Just Scribbles: winter

Winters can be really bitter. You step out of your blanket and the next moment itself teeth’s start chattering. Waking up to pee, while cozily enjoying a nap under a warm blanket is something I always want to avoid. I always try and Hold on to the pee for as long as I can, until I have to rush.

Today is one of those bitter winter afternoons. Enjoyed a good lunch and as I didn’t have much to study, thought of taking a nap. Went up the bed and unfolded the blanket. And slid inside the floral velvety blanket. After 5 minutes or so, one of those calls arrived. Naaa not a phone call. Natures call. Had to rush as usual. Came back soon after, and then all of a sudden a thought striked me “if I sleep now, I have to stay awake the entire night”. Yes I am one among those peoples who can’t sleep at nights because I slept the entire afternoon. As such I stay awake most nights and often go to sleep late. As late as 4am some days. Thank god for internet, without which my sleepless nights would have become tiring. Many of my friends think that may be its some sort of disease or may be its due to “depression”. But it’s nothing like that. I am perfectly normal and don’t suffer from sleeping disorder. It’s just that I don’t feel sleepy easily. It has become a habit since the last 5 years.

Those days when I do not sleep during the afternoons, I however enjoy a good night’s sleep. So as usual I decide to skip my sleep today afternoon also. Slid inside the blanket again, turning on my laptop. Plug into Shania twains forever and for always. Log into my fake facebook account. Facebook has become old these days and boring as well until you have a crush or a stalker who sends you cute messages over us inbox. However I have none, infact the few friends I have in my friendlist hardly operate facebook and those which operate are hard to communicate with. Or maybe I myself have turned into a big bore that I find everybody else a bore. Quite a possibility I know. Arguing with myself over facebook and other social networking sites, I finally settle down with Pottermore. Having ultimately found my solace, I start reading the chapters.

Mission sleep under control.

The last month of the year is finally here. There is something so mesmerizing about December. The chilled evenings. The warm soaking sun. Flowers in every neighborhood garden..…… ENCHANTING……. Christmas and New Year are just around the corner. I sometimes wish it would snow during this part of the season, in this part of the world. Enjoying a snowy Christmas has always been a childhood dream (though I never got to experience it). It never snows in Guwahati and being born and bought up here, have never got to experience a snowy evening. However I and my friends enjoy in our own little ways. Having ice cream (with your loved ones of course) in winter, becomes an equally enjoyable matter . My favorite part of the winter has to be in my bed cuddled up in my blanket, relishing a cup of hot chocolate or coffee and reading a good novel. Ahhhhhh pure happiness. So, my happy days have just begun. Lots of festivities knocking up the door. Hoping to have fun filled days ahead.
